Sustainability Awareness Workshops, BAE Systems plc
BAE Systems plc is the second largest defence company in the world and the largest manufacturer in the UK. Terra Infirma was commissioned to develop two 1 hour workshops for energy awareness and sustainability awareness respectively and deliver 24 sessions of each across the munitions division at sites in England, Scotland and Wales.
Each highly interactive workshop gets the delegates to explore the business case for sustainability, the impact the company has and potential generic solutions. The main exercise is driven by the Terra Infirma brainstorming tool which is used to identify specific solutions. The best of these are captured for the company’s Kaizen system.
Several hundred staff members have now taken part in the workshops, generating many thousands of sustainability solutions for the company.
