For the last ten years, a small group of Sustainability Managers from some of the UK’s biggest organisations have been meeting to learn from each other’s Sustainability experiences. When Covid hit the UK in 2020, the group successfully moved online. Members have recently indicated they wish to keep meeting online which opens up membership to a much wider audience. Therefore we are hosting a one-off open session to give interested Sustainability Professionals a flavour of how the group operates and how much value they will get out of membership.
The basic rules of the Group are:
1. No experts or presentations: this is true peer-to-peer learning through structured discussions and nobody is selling anything to anybody;
2. The Chatham House Rule: members can report what was said at meetings, but not who said it. This creates a brutally honest learning environment with none of the glossy PR nonsense you get at traditional events.
For this open session we are returning to the question we posed in the very first meeting in 2012: What are the key drivers for Sustainability in your organisation and how should they shape your Sustainability strategy? This prises open the mind to the fundamentals of why we do what we do and how to create win-win solutions. No matter how experienced you are, this is guaranteed to make you rethink what you do and why.
Please note: the session is for senior Sustainability practitioners working to deliver sustainability within their own large organisation. We retain the right to limit access to the session to people who match that profile to keep the discussion focussed. If you are a consultant or from a small/medium size business, please contact us for other learning opportunities.
