I often quip that “middle management is where Sustainability goes to die.” That’s not to malign those hard-pressed middle managers, just an observation that there is a lot of interest in Sustainability in the form of frontline champions and in the boardroom, but, unless you bring that vital layer in the middle on board, nothing will actually change.
For the last year, the Corporate Sustainability Mastermind Group – a small group of Sustainability Managers from major organisations – has been running successfully in a virtual format. This move online gives us the opportunity to open the session up to other Sustainability Managers anywhere in the world. [Sorry, but the Group is not suitable for consultants – check out the rest of our training which is open to all.]
Group meetings take the form of a structured discussion facilitated by Gareth Kane held under the Chatham House rule (you can report what was said, but not who said it). That discussion will be guided by the participants, answering questions such as:
- What is the role of middle management in delivering Sustainability?
- What is the right balance of ‘soft’ engagement and hardwired personal objectives?
- What buttons should you press with middle-management and which messages should you avoid?
This form of peer-to-peer learning is much more immersive and powerful than standard ‘death by powerpoint’ events. You get to the real unvarnished truth in these meetings, not a publicity pitch.
Attendance on a one-off basis will be £165.00 + VAT. For more information, please do not hesitate to contact us on info@terrainfirma.co.uk – or book your place below and we will contact you with payment options.
