2023: A year of renewal and refocus at Terra Infirma Towers
Looking back at the last 12 months, 2023 was definitely a year of reflection and renewal. The Covid years saw a massive spike in demand for our services which, combined with some stressful family health-related issues (all much better now), meant I hardly had a moment to stop and think. The other external factor this year was I was up for re-election as City Councillor in May (I comfortably held my seat, but only after a lot of effort), so it was definitely a year to take my foot off the gas for a bit.
That’s not to say I wasn’t busy. As well as the revamp, I finished off a major project with the NHS, reviewed Circular Economy project proposals, supported a whole load of small business owners via the To Net Zero project, ran the Corporate Sustainability Mastermind Group and completed the final year of Green Academy in its original form – plenty of plates to keep spinning.
So what’s new? As Net Zero is now the de facto global target, covering 90% of the world’s economy, we have been refocusing our services on helping our clients deliver on that goal. In practice this means:
- Developing a new Udemy-based on-demand course “Everything you Need to Know about Net Zero”
- Revamping Green Academy as Net Zero Business Academy – make sure you sign up for the free taster session 12½ Kick Ass Sustainability Ideas for 2024 on 17 January
- Creating a new service, the Net Zero Accelerator, for those whose Net Zero efforts have got bogged down.
- Launching the Net Zero Business Podcast with a series of brilliant interviews from the from line.
That was a lot more than I expected to launch this year – there was something of a domino effect where one thing led to another. But it does mean we can do more to help you create band thrive in a low carbon future for your organisation. I’m really fired up for it!
