Summer, summertime at Terra Infirma Towers
I’ve just spent three days bikepacking around Northumberland, my route taking in a number of prehistoric sites such as the Five Stones of Duddo (see pic), mesolithic footprints on the coast, hill forts on the, er, hills and various ‘cup and ring’ carvings. I find it astonishing that despite thousands of years of weather, farming and ‘recycling’ of materials, that so much of our ancient forefathers’ work is still visible. Unfortunately most of the best sites are on higher ground, so my legs are feeling just a tad tired today.
I have been trying to schedule this ride since May, but weather and events conspired against me and now I’m into holiday congestion (it’s a hard life…). During August, blogging will be erratic and I’ll be running a series of special compilation podcast episodes each Friday, pulling together fantastic insights on a single Sustainability theme each time. I’ve got two ready to go and I’m really pleased with them.
What ever you are doing, enjoy your summer!
