What happened at Terra Infirma Towers in 2024?
As we start the final descent into the Christmas holidays, it’s always time to reflect on the past 12 months. If the second half of 2023 was one of review, rethink and refocus here at Terra Infirma Towers, then 2024 was a year of building and delivering on that new vision. Here are some of the highlights:
- A big focus on the Net Zero Business Podcast which has become the main way we communicate Sustainability to various audiences. They say 90% of podcasts don’t make it to episode 50, we’re now on #55 with plenty more to come in 2025 (I have some corking guests booked).
- The relaunched Net Zero Business Academy was a success, with Net Zero now threaded through nine of the ten former Green Academy sessions and a brand new tenth one on offsetting. If you want the early bird offer for 2025, you’d better hurry up!
- Supporting businesses small and large through the To Net Zero programme and the Corporate Sustainability Mastermind Group respectively.
- Piloting a Sustainability Group for the North East Automobile Alliance (including Nissan UK, Komatsu and many of their suppliers) which looks like continuing through 2025.
- Running Sustainability seminars at Newcastle Business School which was both challenging and a lot of fun.
Looking forward to the New Year, we’ll be doing more of the above and there’s some cool new stuff in the pipeline (don’t want to count our chickens just yet). But the big thing is that, after realising I was in a bit of a rut in 2023, everything feels positive and inspiring again. This mission we are on is to make the world a better place and despite everything else that’s going on, I remain optimistic for the future. Will you be joining us to make Sustainability happen in 2025?
In the meantime, I’d just like to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas, whichever way you celebrate it!
